Advocacy

The advocacy department of R2P focuses its efforts on the following programmes to internally displaced persons (IDPs):

  • improving social protection of the war-affected population and armed conflicts, including internally and externally displaced persons, children, people with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups;
  • improving the system of social services in wartime and post-war conditions;
  • implementing and expanding the range of housing programmes and long-term housing solutions for IDPs;
  • protecting the property rights of citizens violated as a result of war, implementing effective mechanisms for the restoration of lost or destroyed title documents;
  • introducing effective mechanisms for compensation for real estate destroyed and damaged as a result of hostilities, including improving the procedure for documenting the damage;
  • observing the right to freedom of movement under martial law;
  • ensuring access to healthcare services and proper medical care for IDPs and vulnerable groups;
  • ensuring the best interests of children deprived of parental care as a result of the war, developing effective mechanisms for the return and protection of unaccompanied children evacuated abroad and forcibly deported to the aggressor country;
  • digitalising and transforming public services, developing e-services for the war-affected population.
