February 6, 2025

Right to Protection received letters of appreciation from the Ombudsman of Ukraine for participating in missions to return deported and illegally displaced children to Ukraine and providing further support in their adaptation to new conditions.

Ivan Verveiko, Head of the Secretariat of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, presented them to Oleksandr Galkin, President of the Foundation, and Oleksii Danylchuk, Coordinator of the Cash for Protection emergency charity programme.

Sasha Galkin, President of Right to Protection

Participation in the mission to bring Ukrainian children home is an extraordinary responsibility. Every child who is saved from forced deportation is a victory for justice and humanity. It is a great honour for us to be involved in this process and work to ensure that Ukrainian children are not left alone with the consequences of war.

We are grateful to the Ombudsman's Office for their fruitful cooperation and commitment to human rights protection.
