After assisting with the immediate needs of people in times of war, the next step is to help restore the economic capacity of the affected population. To this end, R2P has launched a separate programme to employ Ukrainians, develop businesses, and improve society's financial situation.
Our team already implements projects in Dnipro and Kharkiv. These include educational courses for IDPs and the war-affected population:
For people who currently live in Kharkiv, are engaged in small business or have suspended activities and closed their sole proprietorship due to the full-scale invasion. And also for those preparing to start their own business right now.
The main topics of the course:
The educational programme will run from the beginning of September to the end of November 2023. The finalists will receive a $3,000 grant at the end of the course to develop their own business.
R2P implements the project within the framework of the Economic Resilience of Ukraine with Switzerland's financial support, provided through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation.
This course is for internally displaced persons living in the city of Dnipro and wanting to develop the skills necessary for successful employment, financial stability, or business.
The main topics of the training:
The educational programme will run from the second half of July to the end of November 2023.
R2P implements the project within the framework of the Development of practical skills and economic inclusion of IDPs and affected population programme, with the support of the German government through the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
These courses will help participants gain knowledge for employment, create an effective CV and feel confident at interviews, learn how to start their own business, master modern digital tools, and effectively manage their finances.
The team also offers free legal and career consultations. Lawyers advise on various issues, including changes in labour legislation, taxation, and recovery of lost documents during martial law, registration at the employment centre, suspension, and relocation of business. A career consultant helps write an effective CV and motivation letter, create an individual career plan, identify the desired position and job, determine the rules for a successful interview and generally better navigate the modern labour market.
