Right to Business: Forum for Entrepreneurs of Kharkivska Region is– an event that once again proved the resilience of Ukrainian entrepreneurs! The Forum became a key event for the region’s business community, gathering over 200 participants, including local government representatives, experts, grant recipients, and business owners.
In the challenging conditions of war, Kharkivska oblast demonstrates remarkable business resilience: over the past 11 months of 2024, more than 11,000 new sole proprietorships (FOPs) have been registered in the city, and the total number of entrepreneurs has exceeded 119,000. The Right to Business Forum served as a platform for discussing entrepreneurship development prospects, government support opportunities, staffing challenges, and marketing solutions during crises.
Keynote Speech
Kyrylo Kryvolap, Executive Director of the Centre for Economic Recovery, Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine (on a voluntary basis), Partner at the International Consulting Company CIVITTA
"It is essential to meet people like you and see that businesses are holding on, the country is standing strong, and development continues. Events like this are crucial for exchanging ideas — when you see someone investing, hiring people, or receiving grants, it motivates you because you realize: I am not alone, I can do it too! As a country, we are now building a technological defence doctrine, and it is essential to involve people, engage engineers, and attract young talents."
This discussion brought together experts and entrepreneurs to explore business opportunities during wartime. Speakers included:
Participants learned effective stress management techniques.
Ihor Fostenko, founder, co-owner and CEO of Enjoy the wood
«Я вважаю, що такі заходи мають бути обов'язковими, тому що це надихає. Обмін досвідом завжди відкриває нові можливості, тому люди, які упускають подібні заходи, вони дуже багато втрачають. Інколи одна маленька думка, яку ви почуєте, може змінити колосально ваш бізнес, ваш напрямок в бізнесі. Три поради для підприємців: перше — це вчитися завжди продавати. Друге — бути щирими і відвертими. І третє — ніколи не здавайтись».
Vladyslava Zakhozha, R2P's Project Manager
"We gathered over 200 people, and that is incredible! People came because they were interested and highly motivated! Most of them are graduates of our training course who return with gratitude — even two years after receiving grants. Kharkiv is growing and developing because people are tired of staying home in fear. They want to live in their city, in Ukrainian Kharkiv!"
Visitors had the opportunity to explore products from small businesses in the oblast, network with entrepreneurs, and find partners and inspiration.
The Forum provided a space for entrepreneurs, experts, and government representatives to exchange experiences, knowledge, and contacts — contributing to the economic growth of Kharkivska oblast.
Anastasiia Spasibo, Entrepreneur, Graduate of the Right to Business Course
"This Forum gave me the chance to reconnect with old friends and hear powerful speakers. After completing the course, I managed to expand my clinic and hire new specialists. The course gave me strategic vision and financial management skills — both of which are key to growth."
The Right to Business Forum once again proved that entrepreneurship is the foundation of economic recovery and regional development. The entrepreneurial community of Kharkivska oblast demonstrated its readiness to move forward, seek opportunities, and build the future even in the most challenging conditions.
