Social Assistance and Protection

Social services is a type of service provided by Right to Protection, which includes assistance to people in difficult life circumstances, as well as those who are at the highest risk of obtaining such a status. Accordingly, our specialists offer free social assistance to people to prevent, minimise and/or overcome difficult life circumstances.

Assistance can be received by:

  • people who find themselves in difficult life circumstances and cannot overcome them on their own (people who have faced crises: unemployment, loss of housing, severe illness or other social problems);

  • internally displaced persons and the war-affected population (people who were forced to leave their homes due to combat operations or other circumstances);

  • people with disabilities and families raising children with disabilities;

  • people who are unable to obtain certificates, documents for receiving benefits, pensions (people who need assistance in obtaining social benefits, pensions or other necessary documents);

  • those in need of rehabilitation facilities (people who need specialised equipment or services to restore or maintain their health);

  • people who do not have access to medical and educational services (due to the remoteness of their residence or other circumstances that make it impossible to access basic social services).

Types of services provided by our specialists:

  1. Іnforming the population: providing information about available social services and types of assistance.

  2. Counselling: assistance with disability registration, state benefits, access to hromada services and other types of social assistance.

  3. Representation of interests: negotiations on behalf of the recipient of services in state institutions; assistance in filling out applications and issuing/restoring documents.
