Right to Protection joins the Ministry of Social Policy initiative to reform institutional institutions. We are launching together the process of relocating a part of the Liubomyrivskyi Psychoneurological Care Facilityl from Zaporizka oblast to Lvivska.
The constant threat of shelling makes it challenging to stay and creates danger for the residents of the Liubomyrivskyi Psychoneurological Care Facility. The relocation will allow for temporary relocation to a safer region and a more dignified facility to provide social services. It is also part of a large-scale transformation of residential institutions in line with the European Integration Strategy on deinstitutionalisation.
Olha Nosova, Head of the Social Protection programme at R2P:
"The safety and protection of the most vulnerable categories of the population, namely the elderly and people with disabilities, is our priority. That is why, together with the Departments of Social Protection of Lvivska and Zaporizka oblasts, we were looking for the most effective solutions for the relocation of residents of residential institutions, taking into account the recommendations of the Ministry of Social Policy, which are being implemented to transform residential institutions. As a result, 37 orphanage residents will find a safe home."
Our Fund will provide repair works and equipment to create comfortable living conditions for the wards and facilitate their further adaptation to the new place.
R2P, in cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, signed a memorandum of collaboration with the Boryslav City Council, Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, Lviv Department of Social Protection, Zaporizhzhia Department of Social Protection and Liubomyrivskyi Psychoneurological Care Facility.
