R2P Developed an Interactive Map of Refugee and Migrant Communities in Ukraine

June 27, 2024

We have already mentioned that we actively cooperate with leaders of refugee and migrant communities in Ukraine. These are representatives of organisations that offer support and help refugees and other people in need, including with integration.

Right to Protection has developed an interactive map that makes it easy to find refugee and migrant communities working in Ukraine during the war. It contains the names of organisations, brief information about their activities and links to official websites or pages.

Svitlana Butenko, Head of the Assistance to Refugees and Asylum Seekers programme direction of Right to Protection:

"We have gathered this information in one place so that Ukrainian authorities and civil society can communicate directly with the communities: engage them in activities, share experiences, and implement joint projects. Such interaction benefits both parties, as communities have extensive experience integrating foreigners and are ready to share it. For the communities, this interaction is a chance to improve the protection of the interests of the people they represent."

At the end of 2023, R2P was the first in Ukraine to map the communities of refugees, persons in need of complementary protection and asylum seekers in Ukraine.
