From June 3 to June 21, 2024, the Protection Monitoring programme’s team of Right to Protection conducted a survey in the frontline hromadas of Kharkivska, Zaporizka, Mykolaivska, Chernihivska, Dnipropetrovska, Donetska, Sumska, and Khersonska oblasts. It aimed to identify possible problems and challenges the residents of the frontline oblasts and local authorities face while preparing for the upcoming heating season and to assess the related population's intentions to move.
The study's results will help to see the complete picture of the situation with winterisation in the respective oblasts, draw the attention of international and national organisations to the problems and ensure further sustainable and effective responses.
Based on the collected quantitative data, R2P was able to conduct an in-depth analysis of the concerns related to winterisation, as well as the needs and gaps in assistance. The Fund will be able to independently provide comprehensive humanitarian, psychological, and legal aid to the affected population.
