In October, the training programme Right to Business: A Course for Entrepreneurs was completed in Kharkiv. It is intended for people who currently live in the city, are engaged in small business or have suspended their activities due to the full-scale invasion, and those preparing to start their enterprise.

The course aimed to help restore the economic capacity of the war-affected population. Almost 50 people have completed the course. The programme participants gained knowledge from leading experts and attended workshops to learn:

  • marketing tools;
  • accounting basics;
  • different business models;
  • the rules of good service;
  • self-presentation.

The training programme lasted from early March to mid-October. Participants received free consultations with a lawyer, a psychologist-coach, and a business consultant; they also learned from the experience of invited entrepreneurs.

The course culminated in a presentation of business projects. The best participants will receive a $3,000 grant to develop their businesses. Subsequently, the project team will monitor the spending of this money. The grant winners will use the funds to buy equipment and supplies for their enterprises.

R2P implements the project within the framework of the Economic Resilience Support Programme for Ukraine with the financial support of Switzerland through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
