Join Us for the Right to Business Training Programme in Odeska, Poltavska, and Chernihivska Oblasts

The Right to Business training course is returning to regions where it has already been successfully implemented, and is expanding its geographical reach once again! Right to Protection is announcing the start of enrolment for microentrepreneurs and those who dream of starting their own enterprise in Odeska, Poltavska, and Chernihivska oblasts. This programme is your opportunity to gain knowledge, practical skills, and support in implementing your business ideas.

The aim of the Right to Business training course is to strengthen the economic capacity of war-affected Ukrainians by supporting entrepreneurship through improving business skills among start-up entrepreneurs.

Criteria for selecting participants:

  • are internally displaced persons;
  • have suffered from military actions (damaged/lost housing, lost jobs, damaged businesses as a result of attacks, suspended entrepreneurial activity during the period from 24 February 2022);
  • belong to vulnerable categories of the population (in particular, people with disabilities; parents raising a child with a disability; veterans of defence operations; members, parents with many children, families of deceased defenders of Ukraine; members of the family of a veteran of defence operations in Ukraine; parents with many children; women raising children on their own; women who are heads of households).

What You Will Gain

Upon completion of the Right to Business course, participants will:

  • gain knowledge and practical tools for creating and developing a business from leading experts and entrepreneurs;
  • learn how to avoid common mistakes in business;
  • learn how to manage finances effectively;
  • become part of a community of like-minded people and build valuable connections;
  • develop their own business plan with recommendations from specialists, ready for immediate implementation;
  • learn how to attract funding for the development of their own business;
  • learn how to apply for grants for entrepreneurs and search for grants for their own business;
  • receive individual advisory support from business mentors;
  • receive coaching and legal support throughout the training.

Course Topics

  • Business idea. Creating a competitive product.
  • Creating a business model. Types of business models. Practical work with the CANVAS model.
  • Financial model, budgeting. Building an economic model for your business.
  • Marketing. Promotion. Sales. Target audience and working with it. Promotion channels and tools. Content that sells.
  • Legal and accounting aspects of working as a sole proprietor. Registration, the difference between a sole proprietorship and a limited liability company, and the difference between groups of sole proprietorships. Online registration: practical aspects. Working with basic legal documents. Taxation and the form of legal entity. Opening an account. Calculating taxes. Filing tax returns: practical aspects. Opening a foreign currency account, working with sales in foreign currency (documents, calculations, tax payments).
  • Attracting financing.
  • Service as a competitive advantage in the market.

Individual consultations with experts on the following topics are also provided:

  • Business model.
  • Accounting and legal aspects of running your own business.
  • Financial model.
  • Marketing, promotion.
  • Fundraising. Attracting grants.
  • Legal support throughout the training on any legal issues.
  • Coaching support.

As a result of the training, each participant, in collaboration with course experts, will prepare a business plan for their business, understand the next steps to implement their idea, and learn more about opportunities to attract grant funding for their business.

Format and Schedule

📅When? February/March-May 2026.
🏫Where? Safe offline classes in Odesa/Poltawa/Chernihiv, once a week on a weekend (Saturday or Sunday).

To participate in the Right to Business training course in Chernihivska oblast, please fill out the application form, registration is open until 13 February

🚀Start of training: Odessa — 21 February, Poltava — 28 February, Chernihiv — 7 March.

❗Important information!

  • Only people residing in Odeska, Poltavska, and Chernihivska oblasts can participate in the training programme.
  • Sixty participants from each oblast will be admitted to offline training through a selection process based on an analysis of completed forms and interviews with a manager.
  • Participants who travel to the training from remote areas of the oblasts will be eligible for compensation for travel and accommodation expenses.
  • In the event of additional funding, the Donor will consider the possibility of holding a grant competition after the training. The criteria and conditions will be announced at a later date.
