Nearly fifty civil society organisations presented their aid projects at the grantee forum. Participants received support to implement projects and activities within the framework of the National PULSE Consortium. This involves providing social, psychological and legal support to 8,000 people in Ukraine’s frontline regions.
Representatives from the civil society sector not only shared their success stories but also discussed the challenges facing the sector. Over the course of three days, they worked in working groups, attended training sessions and took part in panel discussions.
Head of the Capacity Building for Local Organisations programme
At the Forum we brought together representatives from 46 civil society organisations implementing extremely important initiatives across nine oblasts of Ukraine. Support was provided to internally displaced persons, women who have experienced gender-based violence, people with disabilities, and others. Projects carried out in hromadas remote from regional centres are particularly valuable. Some organisations work in settlements where no one else goes apart from them. That is why we also discussed the accessibility of support at the forum. Civil society organisations shared their own experiences and discussed both challenges and achievements in a “peer-to-peer” format.
This project was funded with UK aid from the UK Government within the National PULSE Consortium, coordinated by Right to Protection. UK Government support to this project in Ukraine is provided through the SHARP element of its Humanitarian Assistance, Recovery and Protection Programme.
