Networking is a crucial tool for entrepreneurs. It helps them gather valuable contacts and exchange ideas and opportunities, which contributes to the development and success of their business and careers.
As part of the Right to Business educational course in Odesa, R2P's team held a networking event with guests from local authorities, entrepreneurs and representatives of business communities, including DiiaBusiness. Participants learned about the benefits of entrepreneurial communities, current grant programmes, and opportunities for further training.
Valeriia Antoniu, Head of the Diia.Business Centre in Odesa
We provide a range of training activities, including lectures, mentoring sessions, group training, and individual support. As a result, entrepreneurs present their projects. Some participants in these programmes receive grants to develop their businesses.
Andrii Rozov, Director of the Department of Economic Development of Odesa City Council, spoke about the city's activities for entrepreneurs and the business support and financing programme.
The purpose of the networking event was to all participants of the Right to Business course meet informally, learn about business opportunities in Odesa, and share experiences.
Kateryna Zadoienko, Project Manager of R2P
The Foundation supports vocational training and mentoring to improve the business skills of war-affected small and medium-sized enterprises in Odeska oblast. The training is focused on the specifics of relocated businesses because, in addition to the fact that it is challenging to work and develop your own business during the war, it is twice as difficult to do so in conditions of forced displacement. The organised networking helped the participants to get inspired by real-life business stories amid the war. I am confident that the Right to Business course in Odeska oblast, which we have launched for 40 entrepreneurs, will also bring forth new success stories in business and enterprise development to the city, enabling families to thrive despite the challenges of war.
We hope this event will help empower our participants and support them in finding new ways to develop and achieve new achievements.
The course was organised by Right to Protection as a partner of the Ukraine Response Consortium within the framework of the Response Consortium: Providing Multidisciplinary Humanitarian Assistance to the Conflict-Affected Population in Ukraine (2023–2024) project. The programme is funded by the USAID Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance (BHA).
