The Success Story of Inna and Her Son Valentyn: Right to Protection Poland Specialists Helped to Recover Misappropriated Funds

It is the story of Inna and her son, Valentyn. The boy has a disability, and shortly before the full-scale invasion, he broke his thigh bone. On February 24, 2022, the woman was in Kyiv on the 9th floor with her immobilized son. Thanks to the help of caring people, they managed to leave for Poland. In Lublin, the boy underwent surgery.
In Poland, Inna approached a specific company that promised to assist her in filing documents to receive support for caring for a disabled child. After waiting for 5 months, she finally received the decision on payments. However, the company unlawfully withheld most of the funds from the assistance (12,000 zl) as payment for their services. The woman sought help from lawyers, but none could assist her. Eventually, she turned to specialists from Right to Protection Poland.
