R2P Held a Workshop on Improving Conditions in CCs and Expanding Social Guarantees for IDPs

Right to Protection organised the Enhancing Coordination and Cooperation Between the State, NGOs, and International Partners in Ensuring the Functioning of CCs in Kharkiv. Invited experts discussed practical ways to support internally displaced persons (IDPs) and improve their quality of life.

The speakers included Vladyslava Lezhnina, Lawyer of R2P’s CCCM programme; Sarah Elliott, Senior Protection Officer at UNHCR; Oksana Cherviakova, Representative of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights in Kharkivska oblast and others.

Key topics of the workshop:

  • Effective coordination and improving conditions in CCs.

  • Adaptation for people with limited mobility.

  • Expanding social guarantees for IDPs.

The workshop’s conclusions will form the basis for further efforts to support IDPs who have lost their homes and will contribute to creating a safe environment where everyone can feel protected and supported during this challenging time.
