Oleksandr Galkin, R2P's President, Participated in a Discussion about Localisation in Ukraine at the 12th Civil Society Development Forum

President of R2P Oleksandr Galkin participated in the discussion, "Alliance of Ukrainian CSOs. What Contribution Can the New Association Make to the Development of a Culture of Partnership in Ukraine", at the May the Force Be with Us Civil Society Forum, organised by Isar Ednannia. With the representatives of Caritas Ukraine, NGORC, NGO Girls, DEMAC — Diaspora Emergency Action & Coordination, localisation, its importance, and the public sector's achievements in this area were debated. Also, the goals of the Alliance of Ukrainian CSOs, which includes 16 civil society organisations, were discussed.

Localisation is aimed at strengthening the capacity and resources of local organisations to respond to crises and promote long-term sustainability. This approach recognises the importance of local knowledge in providing effective and culturally appropriate assistance.
We are grateful to Isar Ednannia and the Alliance of Ukrainian CSOs for the opportunity to be a speaker at such a large-scale event for the public sector in Ukraine.
