The second phase of the Right to Business: A Course for Entrepreneurs training programme has been successfully launched in Kharkiv. It involves 65 participants. The programme aims to continue promoting the economic empowerment of IDPs and the war-affected population in Kharkivska oblast. The course participants will gain knowledge and tools to restart, reformat, and strengthen their businesses. They will also improve their business skills, adapt to new market conditions, and achieve development opportunities!
During the selection process, priority was given to IDPs, the war-affected population, people with disabilities, representatives of large families, single parents, etc. Our participants' business projects include clay gift sets, custom-made knitted clothing, a cosmetics store, bouquets of sweets, carnival costume rental, an apiary, etc.
During the opening event, Yuliia Litkevych, a career development specialist at Right to Protection, spoke about the opportunity to get advice and recruit staff for our participants' businesses. The participants will also receive coaching support and legal advice on labour issues.
The event was attended by Inna Posunko, a graduate of the first phase of the training programme and owner of the eco-cleaning service. She spoke about her experience at the course and how, thanks to the knowledge she gained and the development grant, she started a business from scratch.
The training programme started with the Business Idea topic. In the following sessions, our participants will learn about the business model, marketing strategies, product promotion, business plan development and financial model development, customer service, and risk management. They will also be able to listen to an online module on social media promotion.
Upon completion of the course, each participant will prepare and present their business plan, allowing them to receive a grant of up to $3,000. We look forward to seeing the first successes of our course!
